　Thirdly, I am interested in language. I am particularly interested in the Thai　language. Superficially, it is quite different from Japanese. Especially, the character set is really different from Japanese, and it is hard to write and read. For example, I often say ไม่เป็นไร ครับ in the conversation with my Thai-friends. It means “it is ok” or “All right” but I cannot read it correctly and quite hard to write because of character sets. Moreover there are 44 consonants and 5 patterns of pronunciation. That’s why I feel it is hard to study Thai-language, character sets and pronunciation. It is quite different from Japanese. However, in terms of polite language, it is similar to Japanese, because each country has some words for looking up to older people. For example, Japanese often say “~san” to the older people after the name. The same meaning of that, Thai-people say “pee~” when they talk with older people. Considering of that, I can say that both countries are polite. In concluding, although the character set is different, both countries have polite language. It is the point of “language”.
　As a result, there are three points to compare for each country: school, food and language. These three are easy to see, but there are many differences that are difficult to find such as customs, beliefs and living style among other culturally relevant points. I think we could not find them unless we live in each country for a long time or get in touch with them on a daily basis. Therefore, I think it is also necessary to have the opportunity as much as possible to compare cultures. In order to do so, it is indispensable for us to communicate with people who have different cultural backgrounds and understand their cultures. I believe that this leads to creating good relationships between people who are from different countries.
