Today we would like to show you about global issues.At first, introduce ourselves. We are the students in university. We will show you the three essays. Situation of gap between the richer
and poorer in the world
In the world, there are a lot of issues from that can endanger someone’s life. Perhaps some issues are afflicted as our peaceful living this time. The reason why we should pay more attention to global news and people of the world is that we can help at least a little. Some people, especially children are dying because of hunger or malnutrition. How do you feel about this serious issues? Some children could not even go to school because their lives are frantic and serious every day. I will focus on the “world disparity”, which shows the gap between the rich and poor in the world.
In the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) , a community affair becomes the important policy problem (Hiroo K, 2008). OECD is the organization of some developed countries including Japan, and the United State of America and so on. Not only these countries have the social issues such as differences in the quality of life. Some developing countries are faced with the situation of how to live longer. OECD is believed from the people to be discovered the solutions of some problem.
In the world, more than three billion of the population live on two dollars or less per day. That organization established the MDGs (millennium development goals), which work toward a world of peace and justice from 2000. Developed countries should work on the improvement of the Official Development Assistance (ODA), a problem of debt relief and so on, besides the disparity is not the only issue in the world facing countries now (NGO Japanese trade union confederation).
Cynthia M. (2004) said, “I am concerned about the worsening gap between rich and poor; not just globally, but in our own country, too”. Also, “as many as 1 billion people fail to meet life’s basic requirements as defined by the United Kingdom. About three-fifths of the world’s population in developing countries live without enough sanitation.” One of the concerns is a difference of how the poverty and wealth spreads, by the sides of globalization.
In the conclusion, I would like to show you the situation that we must think over the serious problems about “world disparity” as the situation from some perspective.
