Second, I want to compare the awareness and education of people to politics. Do you know a study on life-long education and the consciousness of the study circles in Sweden? They are the active groups to do their hobbies, discuss the global issues and environment issues, and learn practical business. They also talk about current issues like politics and economics in each club. At there, they exchange their own opinion to others. There are about 280,000 clubs in Sweden and 1,750,000 people participated in 2012. Moreover, about 75% of all nations have attended clubs at least once. Almost all of clubs supported by religious movements, political bodies and social organization. From these reasons, each club have strong principles for politics and religious. In these circles, young people enhance their awareness for current issues and their passions to participate in society. That is the youth in Sweden can attend these clubs freely and improve their consciousness for politics. I can say that it is natural that 79% people vote. On the other hand, in Japan, there is a principal that teachers do not tell their thinking to students, and students have few opportunities to discuss the current issues. It means that they just have a seat and take notes and record what teacher say, and only memorize their notes for examination. I think most students tend to think that politics is stiff and boring subject. From these reasons, only 32.58% of young people in Japan go to vote. There are big differences between the two nations in terms of education for the youth and awareness for politics.

As you can see, the environment which creates young peoples’ interest to politics is the biggest difference between Japan and Sweden. The youth in Sweden can imagine their future easily by attending clubs, and from this reason they strongly want to go vote to make their future fantastic. Therefore, I think Japan needs change public election law. It is so strict that we cannot participate in some political activities. In that sense, I suppose the change of the voting age from 20 to 18 is the first step to make the political act of Japan active. I strongly think that we should take this as a chance of changing the world and go to vote as a response for us!!
